OUR LEADERSHIP

2022-2023

LEADERSHIP AND OFFICERS

DU Alpine Club is a student-led club on campus. We have our "Top 5" (Co-Presidents, Treasurer, Secretary, and Risk Management) as well as several other officers who manage a variety of duties such as social media, fundraising, on-campus events, alumni relations, and photography, etc.  We are overseen and advised by the Student Programs Manager within the Division of Athletics & Recreation at the University of Denver to help us ensure quality and safety on all trips!

Interested in becoming a DUAC Officer? New Alpine Club officers are elected near the end of Winter Quarter. These elections are open to all DUAC members and anyone can run for any position except for Top 6, who are chosen from the previous year's Alpine Club officers. We always welcome any undergraduate DU student with a love for the outdoors to apply!

MEET THE OFFICERS!

Emily Heinen

She is a junior double majoring in international studies and political science. Her favorite part about DUAC is the community! P.S. Her biggest personality trait was these sunglasses and then… she lost them.

He quickly fell in love with the Rockies though (and their massive peaks). Callum is a junior majoring in journalism, and his favorite activities include climbing, mountain biking, fly fishing, backpacking, and skiing, although given the lack of snow in the Southeast he can still always provide a Jerry moment on the slopes (definitely a reason to go ski with him).
